Help us change the lives of a family in need, be a part of The House that Hearts Built!
Save the Date: Giving Hearts Day is coming up on February 10!
Last Giving Hearts Day, your gifts helped the Hieb family build their own simple, decent, and affordable home. Watch their story in the video on the left.
This year, our goal is to fund an entire Habitat home in a single day. Your gift, no matter the size, will help provide hammers, nails, wood, paint, and other tools to build a better future for a local family, like the Hiebs.
And giving couldn’t be easier! Simply visit givingheartsday.org to schedule a gift today or give February 10. Of course, you can always mail a check addressed to Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity dated February 11 or drop it off when you shop at the ReStore.

“I used to tell myself “One day…I will be able to buy a home” or “One day…I would love to live in this type of neighborhood”. Well, my “One day…” turned into “Today is the day!” on September 12th, 2018…the day I began to build my very own home.
Partnering with Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity and working alongside all the incredible volunteers within our community to build my family’s home is one of the most memorable and life-changing times in my life thus far. Our home was built, but so were friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.
I support Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity because the home we built is in a safe and quiet neighborhood because my daughter has a yard to play in and has made great friends nearby, because my mortgage payments help fund the construction of future homes for families in our community, and because the love and support I’ve gotten from everyone along this journey, my “One day…” is now my reality!
It takes 2,400 volunteer hours to build a Habitat Home but less than 24 hours to fund one. Your gift of just $24 this Giving Hearts Day will help to change the lives of families within our community forever. Please join me in supporting Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity this Giving Hearts Day because everyone deserves to turn “One day…” into “TODAY”.

our builds
We’ve come a long way since building our first home in 1991. For over 25 years, we’ve grown steadily, building homes in six communities throughout Cass and Clay counties. To date, Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity has built 63 homes in partnership with local families.
current builds
In 2021, we are working hard to ensure we’ll be able to build 4 homes, including our Faith Build, 30th Anniversary Build, CEO Build, and a Women Build. We need your support to help make them happen. Please consider a donation today.
