2011 Hard Hat BreakfastTour de Habitat

Tour de Habitat is Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity’s largest fundraising event of the season raising over $27,000! Teams composed of six individual riders help raise money and sweat for the cause! Tour de Habitat 2012 was held on Saturday, March 3rd at Courts Plus Fitness on South University Dr, Fargo. Look for information on the 2013 Tour de Habitat beginning in December.

Hard Hat Breakfast

2011 Hard Hat BreakfastThe Hard Hat Breakfast is an annual event for LAHFH. Guests are invited to attend a breakfast at the Fargo Ramada Inn and learn about Habitat for Humanity. Those in attendance will be able to enjoy a video presentation as well as listen to guest speakers explain their relationship to the affiliate and why they support LAHFH. This year’s Hard Hat Breakfast will be held on April 25th. To sponsor a table and invite guests to attend, or to come as an individual guest, call 218-284-5253 ext. 2.

Fargo Marathon- GoFar Charity Team

Run in the Fargo Marathon and support Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity! This year, LAHFH will be forming a GoFar Charity team in partnership with the Fargo Marathon. Twenty-nine non-profits in the Fargo-Moorhead area have formed GoFar Charity teams. As a team member you will receive a long sleeve active t-shirt, access to the VIP tent area to register in shorter lines and store your gear, as well as free post-race massages and discounts to local running stores. Volunteer Appreciation Event

Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity knows that without the support of volunteers in the community, they would not be where they are today. To show their appreciation for the support of volunteers, an annual Volunteer Appreciation event is held in October. Check back in Fall 2012 for specific datails.

Home is where the Art is

2011 Hard Hat BreakfastOn February 4th, 2012 LAHFH ReStore held its second annual "Home is where the Art is" Recycled Art Show and Silent Auction at the Spirit Room Gallery in downtown Fargo. Local artists were given a $50 voucher and were invited to shop at the Habitat ReStore and turn reclaimed items into works of art to be auctioned off at the event in support of LAHFH. 35 pieces by 32 artists were created for the event, which raised over $4500 to support Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity.

The event included a silent auction of the art pieces as well as items from area businesses, wine tasting from Bernie’s Wine and Spirits, and appetizers from local restaurants.
